DISGUSTING - WET URINE IN BEDMy partner and I stayed in one of the pet friendly rooms on May 30th. We arrived after a long day on the road, and found that the bed in our room had a very large urine spot on the sheets under the covers that was still soaking wet.As always though, it was how the situation was handled by the hotel staff that was most upsetting.The woman at the front desk was unable to move us to clean room because the hotel was full, and was only able to offer a 10% discount. This was unacceptable, and the next morning the manager was only willing to refund 35% our room fee. I don't believe we should have bee charged anything to stay in a room that hadn't been cleaned and had a urine soaked bed. However the manager's response was that "we could have left," but she was willing to offer us a 50% discount on our NEXT stay - as though we'd stay at this hotel ever again.Both the front desk staff and manager were very quick to inform us that "this hotel has won awards for our cleanliness" - as though that matters when you arrive to find a pee soaked bed.I will never stay at this hotel again, and would recommend you stay elsewhere - on past trips I have had good success with the Holiday Inn on Bay St.
It's a super 8, wasn't expecting a lot. Friendly staff. Military discount. Pet friendly. Room was clean but very small. The bathroom was almost as big as the room. No fridge or microwave. Pool and hot tub were disgusting. You can dump all the chlorine in the world in them (which you apparently did) but it's not going to scrub the filth off of the pool walls.
Great service, super 8 is super clean!A property that feels safe and has amazing access to lots of local restaurants .The room was clean and everything is well maintained.
The front desk evening staff and day staff were friendly and helpful. The first room we got smelled so they moved us to another room that was great. Great place to stay.
Stayed there in 2017 just before winter. We got there at 1:30am. I had my senior mother and an 11 year old girl with two cats. We were exhausted because we just travelled hours because of a lack of available hotels or motels in Northern Ontario between Thunder Bay and the Sue. The night staff worker made us sign a paper and went on about people stealing things from the hotel and this took a half hour. She wasn't very friendly and could have used some common sense. Yeah...we are a band of gypsies with our 78 year old lady that badly needed a rest room and an 11 year old.Could you not see that we were exhausted?My mother needed to urinate but oh no...not until we sign an important paper that we won't take your used towels.I never had this issue at any of the Super 8's we went to across Canada.
