This hotel was really nice. The beds were really comfortable and the staff were really nice and friendly. The breakfast area was large. The breakfast itself was nice. There is a fitness room the a play bar, but we didn't have a chance to see it by ourselves.
Extremely friendly staff and very helpful. I arrived late in the evening after a long day and was thrilled at how helpful the staff was with getting me everything I needed to make sure my stay was great even if it was just for the night. They helped me find restaurants that were open late and places with good food. The "hotel" restaurant Soo Blaster I believe was okay but overpriced. Still, it was nice that there was somewhere I could grab food without leaving the building. The continental breakfast was okay as well but still enough food to get me full and ready for my day. The room was fantastic so clean and tidy with a view of the Canada to USA bridge and the river. Overall another great stay at the Days Inn and at one of the best rates.
It was the third time I stayed there in 3 months. Location was great. The rooms are very clean. They offer a hot breakfast. Has a covered parking garage.
Overall, my stay at this hotel was a pleasant one. It was very reasonably priced and in an incredibly convenient in location. I had a room with a jetted tub, which was smaller than I was expecting. It was incredibly loud, but still comfortable. There was a book of information which included local restaurants that deliver, which came in handy for this visitor who knew nothing of the area. The parking is in a garage which was a little tight but not horribly so. Staff was very pleasant and helpful with each interaction. The room itself was very clean and the bed very comfortable. It got chilly at night, the locked thermostat was set to 68F, but I very much enjoy sleeping in a cold room so it was perfect for me. However, if you like it warmer, this might be a problem. There was a skylight in the room which gave the otherwise windowless room a nice daylight glow. There were some obvious problems around the hotel, though. The hallways were a bit dirty, there was a leak in the ceiling near the ice machine that dripped on me, an unused (possibly under construction?) lobby near the elevator on the ground floor...outside the room the place is okay but generally feels a bit unkempt. All-in-all, the room, location, price, and staff made this a generally pleasant stay.
Check-in could have been better for an early check in; however, we were able to get into our room smoothly and it has been an enjoyable stay ever since. The amenities and housekeeping services have been tremendous . The room was clean upon first entering it, with fresh bath towels and clean linen. The showerhead in the washroom has excellent water pressure and the tub is a recently upgraded one with jets which helped with my sore back and legs. The proximity to the boardwalk and waterfront was a block away with a mall in between which was very convenient for our needs. The breakfast could have been better with more food and drink options, but it does provide the basic breakfast needs one could want. The attached bar and game room was a nice addition to the hotel, and they provided us with a voucher for just food (not alcohol). The hotel was also very close to the casino and the major tourist sites of Sault Ste. Marie and in a very quiet area. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for both a short or long stay in the Sault, and even visiting from nearby Michigan.
